PERWAJA HOLDINGS BERHAD ("the Company" or "Perwaja") - DISPUTE WITH PETRONAS
Further to the Company’s previous announcements made on 13 May 2009, 15 May 2009 and 22 May 2009, and in compliance with the time limits under the rules of court, Perwaja’s lawyers have on 15 June 2009 filed the Defence and Counterclaim, among others, for the refund of the excess payments of either RM105,258,714.45 or RM99,831,484.28 depending on the rate applicable. In the absence of a settlement in the meantime a trial of the suit is inevitable.
